"Katrina" means pure

Ride for doggies

Another act of love and kindness.

I am in Bangalore in the outskirts of the city, which is not a very posh area. There are quite a few stray dogs around this part. They move in groups of 3 or 4 and can be bit scary .But they don't harm people but I try to avoid them.
The other day I saw a man ,who drives a moped two wheeler.giving one of these dogs a ride in his moped. The dog was excited and so were the other dogs.they ran after his two wheeler very happily. It was such a sport for them.
My friends told me it was a usual thing .He gives a ride to a dog from time to time ,around the block.and rest run wagging their tails after the moped .And they are so happy and love him.I thought to myself what a lovely man . especially when people don't have time for others. I felt a bit small before this man.

The sweet maker

Another sweet experience of human kindness.Last evening, I was on the streets of Bangalore having a walk.I happened to pass a sweet maker. He makes jilebys. An orange coloured Indian sweet ,for people who haven't heard of it.They looked very tempting.I have been trying to cut on my sugar and I asked him for one piece. This guy was a poor man but looked very hard working .He said he won't sell a single piece but only as a dozen or so.But then he looked at me ,saw my disappointment and smiled .He gave me a single piece and said that's all right. He had twinkling eyes and I could see love and warmth of the person .We don't speak the same language yet he gave away a hard made sweet for free. In the end munching the jileby I was wondering ,which was sweeter the jileby or that man's warm gesture.

Pocket sized angel

Last night(October 3) I was at Bangalore railway station on my way home after an interview. It was raining and the stairs were slippery . And I slipped and lost balance.luckily a young woman/ girl behind me seeing me slip tried to grab my shoulder .But since I was too big for her she couldn't grip me.But it helped me gain enough balance to latch on to the side railing. And I avoided the fall.meanwhile trying to help me the poor girl's hand was bit hurting and she was in mild discomfort.I said thank you and sorry to her and she replied" that's okay". Humbling and comforting to know God's angels are everywhere guarding us.This time a pocket sized one and I am twice her size.yet she was able to help me.
The moral I learned
Help can come from the smallest or humblest sources.respect everyone and stay humble.you can fall however big you are.
